About SendShort

SendShort is trying to cover two jobs that are normally sold as separate products.

The first is repurposing.

Give it a longer video, either by uploading the file or pasting a YouTube link, and SendShort can turn sections of that footage into vertical clips with captions, reframing, B-roll and other short-form editing touches. Its own tools support very long source videos, including uploads running beyond two hours.

The second job is creating short-form content when you don't have any footage at all.

Its faceless generator can take a story idea or script, produce the narration, create visuals and assemble the video. You can choose the language, voice and length, then edit the resulting captions, visuals and story afterwards.

That combination is the interesting part.

OpusClip is a stronger-known specialist for extracting clips from existing videos. Cliptalk is built primarily around generating new videos from prompts. SendShort sits between the two and tries to let one creator do both from the same subscription.

The editor covers most of the things short-form creators routinely need: automatic captions, B-roll, music and sound effects, hook generation, aspect-ratio changes, translation and custom themes. Business goes further with 4K output, analytics, priority rendering, SRT export and automatic publishing.

Automated Series is particularly useful for faceless channels. You configure the format and schedule, and SendShort can keep generating new episodes and publishing them to YouTube or TikTok without manually building every video. SendShort says more than 100,000 creators use the platform.

The pricing needs more attention than the marketing makes obvious.

Starter is $19 monthly and covers 20 shorts plus three faceless videos a week, but it excludes AI long-video clipping. Professional is $29 and raises the allowance to 50 shorts, 10 faceless videos weekly, translation, custom themes and automated series. Business at $59 removes most of those caps and is the tier explicitly advertising unlimited long-video-to-shorts and faceless generation.

The weak point is less about features than reliability and support.

SendShort's Trustpilot profile currently sits at 2.1/5, but that's from only 15 reviews. The negative reports do repeat some themes, particularly bugs, slow rendering and support cases taking too long, so they shouldn't be ignored. At the same time, 15 reviews is nowhere near enough to conclude that this reflects the experience of the wider user base.

That's exactly why the no-card trial matters. Run real footage through it before paying.

Buy through Rewardio and 15% recurring cashback comes back as real money for as long as you remain subscribed.

What we like

  • SendShort combines repurposing and from-scratch AI video generation in one subscription, which is still unusual at this price.
  • Business is a genuinely broad creator package, with unlimited shorts, unlimited faceless generation, unlimited long-video clipping, automatic publishing, analytics and 4K exports for $59 monthly.
  • Automated Series has a clear use case for faceless channels, generating recurring content and publishing it to YouTube or TikTok without rebuilding every episode manually.
  • More than 50 supported languages and the translation workflow make it practical for creators publishing versions of the same content into several markets.

Where it falls short

  • The public review sample is small but contains a noticeable cluster of complaints about bugs, rendering problems and support delays.
  • Refunds are discretionary under SendShort's terms, so we'd test thoroughly before committing to a longer billing period.
  • The pricing page doesn't explain the Professional plan's long-video clipping allowance as clearly as it should, while Starter excludes the feature completely and Business explicitly makes it unlimited.
  • If you only need one part of the product, specialist competitors can be stronger. OpusClip is more mature around clipping, while Cliptalk is more focused on prompt-to-video generation.
Our Verdict

SendShort is more interesting than its Trustpilot score makes it look. The score is poor, and the complaints shouldn't be brushed aside, but fifteen reviews are not enough to reduce a platform used by a claimed 100,000-plus creators to a 2-star product. The software itself has a good idea behind it. Short-form creators increasingly do two things at once. They repurpose podcasts, interviews and longer YouTube videos, while also creating formats that were designed to be short from the beginning. SendShort puts both workflows in one place. That's its advantage. If all you want is the best possible AI clipper, OpusClip is a more mature product and currently costs less at the entry level. If you're primarily making polished short-form edits, Submagic deserves serious consideration. If you're generating videos from prompts, Cliptalk is more specialised. But if one person or small team is doing all three, SendShort can replace several tools with a $29 to $59 subscription. Business is the plan that makes the product easiest to recommend. The restrictions disappear, the long-video workflow becomes unlimited, faceless generation is unlimited, 4K arrives and automatic publishing and analytics are included. The remaining question is reliability. I wouldn't answer that from Trustpilot alone, and I wouldn't answer it from SendShort's marketing either. Use the trial. Give it your real podcast, your actual accent, the type of faceless video you intend to produce and the social account you intend to publish to. If it handles that workload cleanly, the feature-to-price ratio is excellent. If you hit bugs before you've paid anything, you've learned something equally useful. For users whose workflow passes that test, SendShort deserves a 4.0/5 rather than the harsher score the small public review sample might suggest. Rewardio's 15% recurring lifetime cashback makes the economics better again for anyone who keeps it as part of their regular content stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answering the questions we actually get about SendShort.

How does SendShort cashback work, and is it better than a SendShort coupon?
We couldn't verify a permanent SendShort coupon code on its current official pricing pages. The standard direct discount comes from annual billing, which currently cuts the effective monthly price by 20%. Rewardio gives you an additional recurring saving. Start an eligible SendShort subscription through Rewardio and you'll receive 15% of qualifying payments back as real money for as long as the subscription remains active. At $29 a month for Professional, that's roughly $4.35 back per payment. On Business at $59, it's around $8.85. Because cashback is calculated from the amount you actually pay, it can also apply alongside the discounted annual rate.
How much does SendShort cost in 2026?
SendShort currently has three main subscription tiers. Starter: $19/month or $15/month on annual billing Includes 20 shorts each month, videos up to 1 minute 30 seconds, automatic captions, B-roll and sound effects, three faceless videos a week and 1080p exports. Professional: $29/month or $23/month annually Raises the allowance to 50 shorts, videos up to three minutes and 10 faceless videos weekly. It also adds custom themes, custom media, hook generation, noise reduction, translation, Automated Series and 2K output. Business: $59/month or $47/month annually Includes unlimited monthly shorts, videos up to ten minutes, unlimited faceless videos, unlimited AI long-video-to-shorts, automatic publishing, analytics, 4K export, custom fonts, SRT export and priority rendering. There's also a no-card way to try the product before paying.
Which SendShort plan do I need for long videos to shorts?
Don't buy Starter for this. SendShort's current pricing page explicitly lists AI long-video-to-shorts as a locked feature on Starter. Business is the clearest option for serious repurposing because it explicitly includes unlimited Long Videos to Shorts with AI. Professional is less cleanly explained on the current pricing page. It locks "Unlimited Long Videos to Shorts", rather than the feature itself, suggesting more limited access within the Professional allowance, but the page doesn't explain that allowance as clearly as it should. If clipping long videos is your main reason for paying, I'd test that feature specifically and confirm the Professional limit before choosing the plan.
What can SendShort's faceless video generator make?
The faceless generator can start from a story type or your own script. You choose the narration voice, language and duration, and SendShort generates the video around it using voiceover, visuals, captions and editing. You can then change the script, B-roll, captions and other elements afterwards. It works particularly naturally for formats such as facts, storytelling, Reddit-style videos, educational clips and other channels where the creator doesn't appear on camera. Starter includes three faceless videos each week, Professional includes ten and Business advertises unlimited generation.
Does SendShort automatically post videos to social media?
It can. SendShort's Automated Series feature explicitly supports automatic publishing to YouTube and TikTok according to a schedule you set. The Business pricing page also includes automatic content publishing as a feature. SendShort advertises broader multi-platform scheduling elsewhere in the product, but I'd distinguish that from confirmed hands-off publishing. If Instagram, LinkedIn or X is critical to the workflow, test the exact connection during the trial rather than assuming every platform behaves identically.
How good are SendShort's automatic captions?
SendShort advertises caption accuracy around the 98% mark and supports translation across more than 50 languages. I'd treat that figure as a vendor claim rather than a guarantee. On clean speech, automatic caption tools in this category can be extremely accurate. Performance naturally drops with overlapping speakers, strong accents, bad microphones, background noise and unusual names. Styling is one of SendShort's stronger areas. It offers hundreds of caption styling combinations and lets you edit the transcript before exporting. Business also supports SRT export if you want to move the captions into another editing workflow.
What are the real downsides of SendShort?
The biggest concern is reliability. The current Trustpilot page is only 15 reviews, so its 2.1/5 score shouldn't be treated as a statistically meaningful customer-satisfaction survey. But several negative reviews independently mention bugs, slow editing or rendering, upload problems and support issues. Refunds are another reason to test carefully. SendShort's terms state that refunds are discretionary rather than automatically guaranteed. The company may refund the last month's subscription if it chooses, but users remain responsible for cancellation. Finally, the plans are more heavily gated than they first appear. Starter doesn't include AI long-video clipping, while some of the features that make SendShort most interesting only appear fully on Business.
Is SendShort's free trial worth using?
Definitely. This is one of the products where I'd regard the trial as part of the buying process rather than a quick tour. Use your own footage. If you plan to repurpose podcasts, upload a genuine podcast episode. If you want to run a faceless account, make the actual type of video you'd publish. Check the clipping choices, captions, rendering time, B-roll and export. If you're buying Business for automation, connect the social account and test publishing too. You don't need to supply a card simply to get started, so there is very little reason to pay before confirming the workflow suits you.
SendShort vs OpusClip, Submagic and Cliptalk, which should I pick?
They overlap, but each is strongest in a different place. OpusClip is the obvious specialist if your main job is turning long videos into short clips. Starter currently costs $15 monthly and Pro $29, with AI clipping, Virality Score, animated captions, B-roll and direct posting. It also has a permanent free tier. Submagic is particularly strong if editing and polished captions matter most. Its current plans start at $19, with Pro at $39 and Business at $69. Pro adds its premium B-roll and more editing tools, while Business moves to 4K and higher volume. Cliptalk is better viewed as a prompt-to-video generator. Its focus is producing complete short-form videos from an idea rather than finding clips in an existing podcast or interview. Current plans run from $19 to $59 monthly. SendShort makes the most sense when you genuinely need both sides: repurpose your existing library and generate faceless content from scratch without maintaining separate subscriptions. That's the reason to choose it.
Is SendShort better value than OpusClip?
Not automatically. OpusClip is currently very competitive for pure clipping. Its $15 Starter tier already includes AI clipping, animated captions and automatic posting, while the free plan gives you recurring monthly credits. SendShort's cheaper plans make more sense if you're also using the faceless-generation tools. Once you're comparing the complete bundle rather than clipping alone, the argument changes. Business at $59 includes unlimited shorts, unlimited faceless generation, unlimited long-to-short clipping, automatic publishing and 4K export. So I'd choose based on workflow rather than the headline price. Only repurposing existing videos? OpusClip deserves the first look. Repurposing plus AI-generated faceless channels? SendShort is considerably more interesting.
Who is SendShort best for?
Creators who publish enough short-form video to benefit from automation. Podcasters, interview channels and YouTubers can use the clipping side to turn their existing library into Shorts, Reels and TikToks. Faceless-channel operators get the other half of the product: scripts, narration, imagery and automated series. Agencies and small content teams may also like having several parts of the workflow inside one relatively inexpensive subscription. It's less compelling for somebody producing a handful of carefully edited videos every month, where a specialist editor will usually provide more control. And if dependable support is a hard requirement for client work, the current review pattern is something I'd test before moving production entirely onto SendShort.
When does my Rewardio cashback appear, and when can I withdraw it?
SendShort cashback should normally appear in your Rewardio account within around 24 hours of an eligible subscription purchase. It becomes available to withdraw after SendShort confirms the payment and the standard cashback hold has passed, usually around 30 to 60 days. Cashback is paid as real money and continues on eligible subscription renewals for as long as your SendShort subscription remains active.
